Sontay’s Managing
Director, Trevor Palmer, says: “Kele is a well-known name within
the building automation industry and the company has been around
for many years, offering great service and high-quality products
to its customers. The company’s ethos fits perfectly with our
own and we are eager to develop and strengthen our relationship
in the coming months and years.”
The SonNet family of wireless sensing devices provide accurate
measurement of temperature and relative humidity within a
building and communicate these readings reliably to its control
system. With self-healing tree topology, SonNet eliminates
concerns over reception and reliability that are often
associated with existing point-to-point wireless systems. Judges
were impressed by this system’s self-diagnosis capability, and
the fact that it is an easily retrofitted solution in existing
buildings.
SonNet consists of battery powered sensor nodes together with
permanently powered network receivers and routers, and software.
It is designed around a robust 2.4 GHz, 802.15.4 self-healing
tree topology which eliminates the need for structural cabling
during sensor installation for an HVAC control system. This
enables faster and easier installation on new buildings, where
project timescales for controls installations can often be
extremely pressurised as well as provide a saving of over 25% on
total installed costs.
Sontay products and control solutions can help improve building
management system performance, reduce energy and maintenance
costs and increase occupant comfort levels.
